Iswarya, Sreeleela in Ravi Teja’s film
Both will be leading ladies
A day after Ravi Teja’s film under director Trinadh Rao Nakkina was announced, we have learnt that the action drama has two leading ladies — Iswarya Menon and Sreeleela.
Prasanna Kumar Bezawada has reportedly written the script in such a way that it gives equal scope to two actresses. The story has depth with beautiful and interesting twists. The filmmakers felt two heroines would add a curiosity element to the plot,” says a source close to the unit, adding that the film would go on the floors in April. The movie will be Sreeleela’s second film. She is currently shooting for her Telugu debut, the sequel to Pelli Sandadi.
Iswarya played an extended cameo in the Telugu-Tamil bilingual film, Love Failure (2012). Trinadh Rao came up with the idea of casting Iswarya after watching her earlier films.
“Iswarya is a performer while Sreeleela is a natural talent,” the source said. —
Manushi Chhillar is eagerly awaiting the release of Prithviraj, slated for this Diwali. The former Miss World has been paired with Akshay Kumar in this YRF historical, and considers herself fortunate that her debut film is to have a Diwali release. “Growing up, I remember going to the theatre to watch a movie during Diwali, and it was a community viewing exercise. Today, my film has been slotted for a Diwali release, and I can only be grateful that I’m getting this launch by YRF,” says Manushi.
The 23-year-old says she has given the film her all and is eager to see the reaction of audiences. “I have worked consistently on myself for over a year to deliver this important and beautiful part. So, I’m quite eager for my film to do well and for people to love it,” she adds. The last time a debutant got such a huge Diwali release was Deepika Padukone in Om Shanti Om. Incidentally, Deepika too was a model who turned actress. Manushi says, “I can only consider myself fortunate. Deepika is someone many girls look up to and is an inspiration to many. I want to enjoy the release of my first film and I want this process to be etched in my mind forever. So, I wish to cherish every step of the way.”
