JUST 24% TAKE COVID VACCINE SECOND DOSE
Only 24 per cent of people have taken the second dose of Covid-19 vaccination in four districts of the state. While the number of targeted beneficiaries is 1,750, only 420 took the second dose.
Meanwhile, 902 of beneficiaries took their first dose of the vaccine on Tuesday.
Authorities are continuing to administer the first dose as many beneficiaries did not come at the scheduled time to take their vaccination.
A senior government official said, “They were down with Covid-19 or were busy with work. They are all coming forward only now.”
There are 1,11,829 beneficiaries who have so far taken the second dose of vaccine in the state.

Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) have caught superintendent of Circle 10, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), red-handed when he demanded and accepting a bribe of `5,000 for processing a file.

Phool Singh was caught after ACB laid a trap at the Falaknuma office of the GHMC. Phool Singh demanded the bribe from complainant Kranthi Kumar of Moosarambagh for issuing a cheque of `20,000 towards funeral charges of Kumar’s mother.
The bribe money was recovered from the superintendent, who has been produced before the special court.
