STATE SEES 7,646 FRESH COVID-19 CASES, 53 DEATHS

Telangana health authorities on Thursday reported as many as

7,646 new cases of Covid19, apart from 53 deaths due to the disease.

With this, Coronavirus deaths in the state have reached 2,261, while total cases have risen to

4,35,606, the health department said. It announced that 5,926 people have recovered from the disease, with total recoveries reaching 3,55,618 so far.

The number of active cases is 77,727 at present, the department said.

GHMC area reported the highest number of

1,441 cases in the state, followed by 631 in Medchal-Malkajgiri, 484 in Ranga Reddy, 401 in Sangareddy, 330 in Nizamabad, 289 in Siddipet, 285 in Nalgonda, 283 in Suryapet, 274 in Karimnagar, 243 in Mahbubnagar, and 212 in Khammam.

Testing continued to be on the lower side because of lack of testing kits in the state. Most samples collected by testing centres and analysed indicated clear

Covid-19 symptoms. It may be recalled that on Thursday, health minister Etela Rajendar said people who notices changes in health, should consider it as possible Covid-19, isolate themselves, seek medical advice and follow any advice given by doctors.
