Congress had lost nothing in the bypoll and it was defeated with a margin of only 10 percent of vote share fighting the mighty TRS government and its official machinery. He said if there was six percent difference in the vote share it would make a huge difference in the upcoming general elections and requested political parties to thrive in the social revolution in order to save democracy for the next generation leaders. The former minister said future politics should instil faith in democracy which was the prime reason for him to contest the bypoll.

The Congress leader did not rule out whether he would contest in future polls, Reddy said he would be there in times of historical need. "Considering the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and current political situation in the state, I would like to rest for some time to analyse current political situation and give timely suggestions to all leaders and parties when in need," the veteran leader said. He suggested all political parties to introspect to bring qualitative changes in future politics. He said he would play a crucial role in future politics on similar lines with former BJP president LK Advani who brought his party to power.

The former minister and seven-time MLA said he would be ready for an autobiography if someone was interested. “I would dictate my autobiography if somebody is interested. It would give insights of 40 years of my political journey apart from personal life,” he added.
