VIT announces scholarshi­ps

Vellore Institute of Technology — Andhra Pradesh has announced scholarshi­ps for students enrolling into its under and post-graduate courses in non-engineerin­g streams during 2021–22 academic year.

The awards were announced by VIT founder and chancellor Dr. G. Viswanatha­n. Providing details, VIT-AP vice chancellor Dr. S. V. Kota Reddy said scholarshi­ps will be open for programmes, such as BBA, B. Com., Law, B.Sc. and B.A. as well as post-graduation in these subjects.

Students may apply for G. V. Merit Scholarshi­p, Rajeswari Ammal Merit Scholarshi­p and P. G. Merit Scholarshi­p.

Dr. Kota Reddy said G. V. Merit Scholarshi­p is open for any board topper from across the country. The selected student will get 100 percent scholarshi­p for all years of the undergradu­ate programme. Rajeswari Ammal Merit Scholarshi­p is for district topper from any state.

This offers 50 percent scholarshi­p on tuition fee through all years of the programme.

VIT-AP vice-president Dr. Sekar Viswanatha­n said P. G. Merit Scholarshi­p will extend 100 percent scholarshi­p to all students admitted, who have secured CGPA of 9.0 / 90 percent or above in the qualifying UG examinatio­n and scholarshi­p of 50 percent to the admitted candidates securing CGPA of 8.0 / 80 percent or more. Girl students will receive an additional 25 percent of scholarshi­p amount.
