VIT announces scholarships
Vellore Institute of Technology — Andhra Pradesh has announced scholarships for students enrolling into its under and post-graduate courses in non-engineering streams during 2021–22 academic year.
The awards were announced by VIT founder and chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan. Providing details, VIT-AP vice chancellor Dr. S. V. Kota Reddy said scholarships will be open for programmes, such as BBA, B. Com., Law, B.Sc. and B.A. as well as post-graduation in these subjects.
Students may apply for G. V. Merit Scholarship, Rajeswari Ammal Merit Scholarship and P. G. Merit Scholarship.
Dr. Kota Reddy said G. V. Merit Scholarship is open for any board topper from across the country. The selected student will get 100 percent scholarship for all years of the undergraduate programme. Rajeswari Ammal Merit Scholarship is for district topper from any state.
This offers 50 percent scholarship on tuition fee through all years of the programme.
VIT-AP vice-president Dr. Sekar Viswanathan said P. G. Merit Scholarship will extend 100 percent scholarship to all students admitted, who have secured CGPA of 9.0 / 90 percent or above in the qualifying UG examination and scholarship of 50 percent to the admitted candidates securing CGPA of 8.0 / 80 percent or more. Girl students will receive an additional 25 percent of scholarship amount.
