Etala ridicules TRS charges

- PULI SHARATH KUMAR I DC

Parties and people may come and go, but the justice and system never die, said former minister Etala Rajendar in response to the comments made by Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) ministers against him, at a press meet held at Huzurabad of Karimnagar district on Tuesday.

Rajendar alleged that this kind of conspiracy and injustice were not seen anywhere in the country. Without giving any notice, officials conducted an inquiry by preparing a false report dictated by somebody. IAS officers and revenue department officials, without having any sense of who was husband and who was son prepared a report, he said, adding that even the High Court expressed shock over such a report.

“The comments made against me by ministers Koppula Eshwar and Gangula Kamalakar are their own knowledge. Once, when the security guard at Pragathi Bhavan did not allow me inside when I went with Gangula Kamalakar to discuss one issue with Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar

Rao, we did not get an appointment. Reacting on this, Kamalakar wondered how conceited Chandrashekar was and arrogantly he was behaving with public representatives. Now he is making comments against me and supporting the Chief Minister since he was handed over a script to read out with a perfect action plan by the party leadership.

Rajendar said Koppula Eshwar, Rasamayi Balakishan and Vinod Kumar were very close to him. “I also spoke to the leaders of other parties. In a democracy, all party leaders meet each other to discuss people’s issues and resolve them with collective efforts. But there is a bad tradition in the TRS. If TRS leaders speak with either the BJP or the Congress leaders, it will be treated as a crime,” he alleged.

“People know the history of all leaders. Who is opportunistic, who participated in the separate Telangana movement, who joined in later stages, who earned money being in the party? All the illegal activities done by every minister and MLA will come out one day or the other,” he pointed out.
