Fan clubs to the fore
Salman recently helped an18-year old boy from Karnataka, whose family’s sole breadwinner, his father, had succumbed to Covid-related illness.
Various fan clubs of the Dabangg actor provided oxygen cylinders in in Delhi NCR, Patna, Jabalpur, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad Indore, Bhopal and Mhow.
They provided food packets to the underprivileged, those under home quarantine and in hospital, as well as medicines, vaccines, plasma, pulse oximeters, temperature guns, and ration kits to the needy across the country, and also reimbursed doctors’ fees and paid school fees in some cases, according to sources.
Appreciating the good work done by the clubs, Salman said, “So good to have fan clubs like these who are doing so much good work on their own.”
Sundeep Kishan has offered to take care of the needs of children who have lost their families to the pandemic. And inspired by the actor’s gesture, music composer Thaman has offered to join him in the endeavour.
Sundeep sent out a tweet saying “If you know of any children who unfortunately lost their families due to COVID during these challenging times... Please pass on their information to the email ID mentioned below... My team & I will do our best within our capacity to take care of as many children’s food and education for the next couple of years.”
S.Thaman responded promptly, saying, “I am also with U. Will take the responsibility of their education dear brother let me know will be ur partner in this. Will add my beat to ur heart”.
