E rstwhile designer Divya Reddy, who shot to prominence after a Big Bang show at Lakme Fashion Week some years back is again in the news. She’s had somewhat of a makeover, ditched the designer dreams and is now eyeing politics, one hears on the grapevine. The rumor has gathered strength thanks to Divya releasing a video where she attacks the government and other institutions on the lax state of affairs and the poor handling of the Covid second wave. With simple, pulled back hair and an ordinary silk saree, she waxed eloquent in traditional Telugu, impressing many of her friends online.

A midst the self-imposed lockdown, many socialites have taken to trying their hands at different hobbies to keep themselves busy. While some are picking up Chess, or fiddling with a musical instrument, others are working hard on mastering a new skill. Methinks the days are not far when the online poker tables come back with a bang and Houseparty drinking sessions restart. H ypochondriacs across the city have been hoarding up on medicines and supplies, all in the hope of avoiding a shortage situation. This has brought to attention a whole new issue — with fake meds and empty oxygen cylinders being traded for a profit. Vials of Remdesivir are being sold for as high as Rs 30,000 when they’re supposed to cost 900 bucks normally.

The same goes

oxygen concentrators and cylinders, with many cases popping up where people have been palmed off empty or dubious supplies. If you’re not sick you don’t need this stuff peeps!
