- T.S.S. SIDDHARTH I DC

A group of teachers from the Gitanjali Senior Secondary School (GSS) have been supplying food to the families of those who are down with Covid-19. The group consists of 10 teachers who are keen to serve the families of affected persons with homecooked meals, free of cost.

“In these difficult times, our aim is to spread hope and positivity, to show that we are all there for each other. We serve the affected families and ease their suffering in our own way by providing hygienic homecooked food. We all feel it is the best that we can do in the current situation and we also feel immense happiness by doing this service. We have tried to set an example of ‘practice what you preach’,” said Madhavi M., one of the teachers.

Sukumaran told this newspaper, “We have staff members who cater to all areas and we have taken assistance from the school bus drivers. We are also using our own materials and preparing food at our own homes. We are sending food to far-off places using delivery services. Once, schools start, we want to include homemakers in this process.”
