TD COMMITTEE TO PROBE DEATHS AT RUIA

- DC CORRESPONDENT

The Opposition Telugu Desam has constituted a factfinding committee with seven members to probe the tragic deaths of many Covid patients due to lack of proper oxygen supply at SVR Ruia Hospital in Tirupati.

TD leaders have alleged that AP government is not taking sufficient measures to save lives of people. The unfolding of human tragedy at Ruia is an example, they maintain.

TD AP president K. Atchannaidu said the government has abdicated its responsibility at a very critical time when Covid second wave has shaken up lakhs of people all over the state. He charged that no proper treatment is being provided to infected patients.

Atchannaidu said the factfinding committee, constituted on orders of TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu, will comprise Tirupati parliamentary constituency party president G. Narasimha Yadav, former minister N. Amarnath Reddy, party national general secretary Nallari Kishore Kumar Reddy, former MLA M. Sugunamma, Chittoor parliamentary constituency party president Pulivarthy Nani, Bathyala Chengalrayudu and Mabbu Devanarayana Reddy.

The TD state president said already, many Covid patients have died due to lack of oxygen at different hospitals in all parts of AP. He accused the government of not revealing actual details of deaths, including at the Ruia hospital. He said TD’s fact-finding committee will go into all these aspects to find the factual reasons behind the human tragedy.
