VACCINATION IN the state will be started once there are sufficient stocks with the government. The health department stated that they sent requests to the Central government for vaccines. Once there are sufficient stocks, vaccination will resume again.

The government has issued show-cause notices against three private hospitals in the city for charging exorbitant fee for medical treatment and medicines, following increased complaints by kin of patients.

The three private hospitals — in Secunderabad, Nagole and Hyderabad — have been issued showcause notice by the government and license of one hospital at Madhapur has been cancelled. There are lots of complaints against high billing which are being forwarded on WhatsApp to senior officers and representatives of the government.

The health department has now dedicated a complaint number where these complaints of excessive billing can be sent. They have also asked the hospitals not to use too many steroids. The use of high-end drugs is now being monitored by the state task force committee under the director of health and medical education.
