TPCC inaugurates ambulance service
TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy on Sunday launched free ambulances for Covid-19 patients. Ambulance services would be available within 50 km of Hyderabad, he said.
Speaking to mediapersons, he said private ambulances were fleecing families of patients and the government was doing nothing to bring respite to the public from the daylight robbery. He asked the state government to control amounts charged by private hospitals. He pointed out that in 0ther states the authorities have taken over private hospitals where they are providing free medical care to Covid patients.
The Congress leader lamented that was not increasing corona tests despite a High Court order to that extent.
He stated that any Covid patient or their family members calling PCC control room at Gandhi Bhavan would be provided ambulance service free of cost to and from any hospital in the twin cities. The ambulances

The TPCC president also visited the check dam site at Moosivoddu Singaram village in Palakeedu mandal for which ` 7.30 crore has been sanctioned with NABARD funds. He was surprised to see that work had started at a site that was 300 metres upstream of the site where it has been sanctioned.
He alleged that it was highly irregular and in violation of all rules to the extent that the entire village is against construction of the dam at that site.
He stated that the gram panchayat has passed an official resolution asking for the check dam work to be stopped at the present site and be shifted downstream.
He said that he would demand an ACB or Vigilance inquiry into the matter.
