WORKOUT SESSIONS. THE 33YEAR-OLD ACTOR SAYS HIS FAVOURED GYM GEAR IS A TEE, TRACK PANTS AND
SHOES WITH STABILIZING EFFECT.
I have a black coffee before hitting the gym. I avoid coffee post workout as it has too much caffeine. During the workout I keep sipping on BCAAs (Branched-chain amino acids supplements commonly taken to boost muscle growth and enhance exercise performance). It does increase endurance in muscles.

Recently, actor Allu Sirish shared a few mirror selfies, flaunting his chiselled body, after a workout session. The fitness enthusiast shares his regimen and four exercises he swears by:
● Deadlift: The deadlift is a movement where your hips hinge backward to bend and pick up a weighted barbell or kettlebell from the floor. In bodybuilding it’s called the ‘King of Exercises’ as it engages the legs, core, back, arms and shoulders. Keep your back straight while performing deadlifts and bend from your hips. Your neck and spine should be in a line.
● Lat pull down: This is one exercise that helps you develop strong arms and back muscles and enables you to perform pull-ups better.
● Ab crunches: Abdominal crunches are designed to tone the core muscles of the body. A strong core is the foundation for a strong body. The exercise also improves posture, and increases the mobility and flexibility of muscles. Different variations work on the lower and upper abs.
● Smith squat: lifting weights out the lower
A safe way of and working body. It also boosts testosterone production in men. The smith machine can be used as an alternative exercise to barbell squats for developing the quadriceps and gluteus maximus. So it’s a must-do for overall conditioning.
“Lat pull down and Smith squats are done with machines, while ab crunches can be done anywhere. Deadlift is a free weight exercise and can lead to injury if done wrongly. So it’s better to be done under the supervision of a trainer,” explains Allu Sirish.
The 33-year-old actor says his favoured gym gear is a tee, track pants and shoes with stabilizing effect.
Asked about what he eats before exercising, Allu Sirish says “I have a black coffee before hitting the gym. I avoid coffee post workout as it has too much caffeine. During the workout I keep sipping on BCAAs (Branched-chain amino acids — supplements commonly taken to boost muscle growth and enhance exercise performance). It does increase endurance in muscles. We can go on for longer. Postworkout I usually take protein, but mostly through food. Though I occasionally have it, I'm not a big fan of protein shakes. I prefer it coming from food.”
