Aruna: TRS failed to achieve the basic aims
BJP national vice president DK Aruna made it clear on Wednesday that the objectives of formation of Telangana State were not achieved due to the “failed” rule of the TRS in the state.
Addressing the media marking Telangana Formation Day at the BJP state office, she said that statehood for Telangana was achieved with a view for the new state to have the right over water, funds and jobs. But, the TRS government has failed to ensure these for the people though it ruled the state for seven long years.
She alleged that vote bank politics took the front seat and chief minister KCR was interested only in safeguarding his chair. “The CM has neglected the well-being of the people and what marked out was his lust for power.”
The BJP leader said justice was not done even to the large numbers of those who laid down their lives for creation of a separate Telangana state. The Martyrs Memorial construction was not completed so far, she pointed out.
She said the new building of the Telangana State Secretariat was designed by Oscar and Ponni Architects from Chennai. The designer of Telangana Martyrs
Memorial, Ramana Reddy, belonged to Telangana, “but the contractors of both the projects do not belong to
Telangana.” She alleged that KPC Anil Kumar was the contractor of interiors for the T Hub and he is paid at the rate
of `10,000 per square feet. These contractors are benamis of the “family” ruling Telangana, the BJP leader said.
