Ability nce upon a time, a yogi and his disciple arrived in a big city. They didn’t have any money but were looking for food and a place for the night. The disciple told the yogi, “There is a park close by. We can sleep in there tonight.” The yogi smiled and said, “No, tonight we are going to sleep in a good hotel and eat there too.” The bewildered disciple exclaimed, “We have no money. We can’t afford to go to a hotel!” The yogi replied, “Son, if you meditate and focus your mind intently on any subject, it is possible to manifest it.” The yogi sat on the ground, closed his eyes and began to meditate. After about thirty minutes, he got up and the duo started to walk towards the hotel. At the entrance of the hotel, the yogi told his disciple,

“Let’s go inside.”

As the yogi and his disciple set foot at the entrance, a well-dressed young man approached them, “Greetings, O wise sage. I am the manager of this hotel. You seem tired and hungry. Would you like to help in the kitchen?

In return, I’ll give you food and a place to stay.”

“Yes, thank you,” replied the yogi. The perplexed disciple asked the yogi, “How did you do that? Is it magic?” The yogi simply smiled and said, “I wanted to show you the power of your thoughts. The secret is concentrat­ion, visualisat­ion, faith in the power of your thoughts and projecting your mental and emotional energy into the scene created by your mind. When your mind is free from thoughts and only one single thought is allowed to enter, this one thought gains great power. If you train your concentrat­ion and visualisat­ion, you will be able to effectivel­y exercise the power of your thoughts.”

My dear readers, I wish you also realise the power of your thoughts. Thoughts are like seeds. Whatever you think, positive or negative, can manifest into reality. By practicing mindfulnes­s and meditation, you can become more aware of your thoughts and regain control over them. And then, you will be able to manifest the life of your dreams.
