The TRS countered former minister Etala Rajendar’s allegations against Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday.
Minister V. Srinivas Goud reminded Rajendar how he got the Cabinet berth in the Chandrashekar Rao government and came down heavily on the former minister for making comments against the Chief Minister.
Goud was speaking to mediapersons along with party MP Lingaiah Yadav and MLAs Anjaiah Yadav and K. Venkatesh addressed a press conference at TRSLP office in the Assembly.
The minister said that Rajendar was nothing without Chandrasekhar Rao and asked him to recall his days before joining the TRS. He said the TRS gave importance to Rajendar and not the other way round.
Goud also challenged Rajendar to clarify about his winning the Huzurabad election by displaying Chandrashekar Rao’s photographs rather than his own.
Lingaiah Yadav and the MLAs said that Rajendar did not change his behaviour even after Chandrashekar Rao gave him five years’ time. They added that the Chief Minister gave Rajendar a chance to earn a good name by distributing fine rice to the poor people, yet he did not change his attitude a bit.
The leaders alleged that the former minister was trying to cover his personal mistakes and levelling allegations against the Chief Minister and the TRS out of frustration. They asked Rajendar to get national project status for Kaleshwaram and reduce petrol and diesel rates once he joined the BJP.
