24 firms to recruit 4K at job mela set up by police

Hyderabad police commission­er Anjani Kumar inaugurate­d a job mela in which 24 companies took part to recruit 4,000 staff.

Addressing the aspirants, Kumar said the police was organising a job connect mela every two months to help the youth get better opportunit­ies.

The senior police officer said that the police had come up with the initiative to connect with the community.

“Due to the pandemic, many people lost their jobs and are in distress. This job connect initiative helps them as an opportunit­y to get placed and earn money,” said deputy commission­er of police, Central Zone, P. Viswa Prasad.

Elsewhere, home minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali inaugurate­d the new building of the Chandrayan­gutta police station. He said the government was giving high priority to the requiremen­ts of the police department. “We are constructi­ng new buildings for police commission­erates and police stations,” he said.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi said many police stations in the Old City need to be replaced.

The leader also pointed out that some police stations were located in the interiors.

Commission­er Anjani Kumar said, “There are 4 lakh people in Chandrayan­gutta. We place a high priority on public safety and security.”

ELSEWHERE, HOME minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali inaugurate­d the new building of the Chandrayan­gutta police station.

THE MINISTER said the government was giving high priority to the requiremen­ts of the police department.
