CM’s 3-hr walk turns learning experience
KCR tells Dalit Bandhu beneficiaries to use `10L well
Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s visit to his adopted village Vasalamarri on Monday turned into a ‘study tour’ for over three hours to gather inputs for effective implementation of Dalita Bandhu scheme.
During his four-kilometre walkabout, accompanied by Alair MLA Gongidi Sunitha, Bhongir collector Pamela Satpathy and senior officials of the district administration, the Chief Minister visited over 60 houses in Dalitwadas and interacted with residents. He enquired about their well-being, their social and economic condition
and about the delivery of the TRS government’s welfare schemes.
He asked all Dalit families what they would do with the Dalita Bandhu amount of `10 lakh.
Some told him they would buy tractors, cabs, autorickshaws, agriculture equipment etc while some said they would set up shops.
He asked aged persons whether they were receiving Aasara pensions promptly or not and resolved issues on the spot wherever problems were noticed.
He asked residents whether they were receiving their Rythu Bandhu financial assistance, ration, power supply, Mission Bhagiratha water etc. The CM enquired with youth and students about their studies and employment.
The Chief Minister was visibly upset looking at pathetic living conditions of Dalits and dilapidated houses, poor roads, drainage, sanitation etc in Dalitwadas during his visit. He promised to construct new houses for Dalits living in dilapidated and tiny homes.
