With several newly-minted Hyderabadis looking to invest their wealth outside of the state, buying property in Goa, Rajasthan and Ooty has suddenly become very fashionable. The rush to procure homes and parcels of land has brought back into the news several marquee estates which were once forgotten. One such palatial beauty is the Nizam’s Cedars Palace in Ooty, which we hear is pretty close to being sold off to a high and mighty buyer from the city. Built in the 1800s for the grand sum of Rs 1 lakh, back then, this very British house is now up for grabs for a very large sum that everyone in the property business is trying to outbid.
Pullela Gopichand’s congratulatory message to Sindhu post her Bronze medal win was rather watered down and lackluster for such a historic moment for Indian badminton. He surely could have been more lavish/generous with his praises for Sindhu. It was truly her day and she alone with her Korean coach, Park Tae-Sang, deserved all the praise. But Gopichand also chose to thank the Sports Ministry, Indian Government, Badminton association and Telanagna government!
After Jeff Bezos was spotted with a fuller face post his space flight, many have taken his ‘freshening up’ to heart and started getting fillers and botox. Our Hyderabadi socialites have jumped on this bandwagon with a few very conspicuously ‘freshened’ up faces seen around town these days. When asked why they’re looking different, our lot always dodges confessing to having a few injections. Big deal peeps, it’s the 21st century!
Vishnu Varma, scion to the NCC Construction Group hosted a very intimate bash at his farmhouse for 15 of his close friends last week. The lad brought in his birthday among the city’s young elite who couldn’t stop raving about his fab farm and how it made for a great place to party at.
Shruti and Mahesh Reddy too hosted a party this week — sundowner — inviting close friends and family to their new home. The couple got many compliments for their minimalist, stylish home, with many touting it to be one of the city’s most fashionable pads.
Guess who is Hyderabad’s Ranveer Singh? Apna most sought after architect Aamer Sharma. He and actor Ranveer Singh seem to have the same fashion sense. Both were seen wearing Gucci track suits in pop colours and clothes that make your heads turn.
Nice to see a guy in town who doesn’t stick to the usual boring shirts, trousers and safe colours.
