CONG. FIRES SALVO AT TRS FOR DOUBLE STANDARDS

- DC CORRESPONDENT

The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) leaders wondered why ministers A. Indrakaran Reddy, V. Prashanth Reddy and TRS MLAs fumed at TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy's language at Indravelli meeting, while going gaga over Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president and Chief Minister's local lingo to incite the locals just for clinging into power.

On the pretext of Telangana dialect, Chandrasekhar Rao adopted a new language in state politics and when Revanth Reddy replied in the same terminology, the TRS leaders were getting nervous, they said.

Speaking to reporters at Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday, TPCC senior vice president Mallu Ravi, former government whip Eravathri Anil and TPCC official spokesperson Sudhir Reddy said the Congress would continue its tirade against the TRS government. TRS leaders started shivering after the grand success of Congress meeting at Indravelli, they said. The TRS ministers and MLAs who were in deep slumber so far, now woke up and were shouting at Congress, they said.

TPCC leaders said ministers Indrakaran Reddy and Prashanth Reddy used objectionable language like "will break the legs and cut off the tongue of Revanth Reddy." Basic principle of democracy was to accept the mistake and tender an apology and the TRS ministers should follow it, Congress leaders suggested.

Congress leaders alleged that Chandrasekhar Rao cheated Dalits on many fronts. First, he promised the Chief Minister's post for Dalit, then three acres land to them, double bedroom houses and government job for each household, but conveniently ignored all those promises, they said.
