TRAFFIC CURBS AHEAD OF I-DAY CELEBRATIO­NS

The Hyderabad city traffic police issued restrictio­ns ahead of the Independen­ce Day celebratio­ns at the Rani Mahal lawns in Golconda fort on Sunday.

The road from Ramdevguda to Golconda Fort will be closed for general vehicular traffic from 7 am to 12 noon on Sunday.

Entry from Ramdevguda to Golconda fort will be used for A, B & C car pass holders who are invited to attend the Independen­ce Day celebratio­ns including the flag hoisting ceremony from 7.30 am to 11 am.

All invitees in vehicles with A, B & C car passes from Secunderab­ad, Banjara Hills, Masab Tank, Mehdipatna­m side have to go via Rethibowli and Nanalnagar junctions, take a left turn towards Balika Bhavan, Langer Houz flyover, Tippu Khan bridge, Ramdevguda junction, take a right turn at Makai Darwaza and Golconda fort gate for alighting.

‘A’ pass holders should park their vehicles on the main road in front of the fort main gate while ‘B’ pass holders at the Golconda bus stop and ‘C’ pass holders at the football ground after taking a right turn near Golconda bus stop.

Vehicles with ‘D’ car passes have to go via Shaikpet Nala and Tolichowki, Seven Tombs side Banjara Darwaza to alight at Priyadarsh­ini School, Golconda, and park their vehicles inside Priyadarsh­ini School.

‘E’ car pass holders coming from Seven Tombs, Banjara Darwaza, inside traffic signal and take immediate left turn to Owaisi Ground. Vehicles with ‘F’ passes, general public coming to the venue on their vehicles, have to go via under the Langer Houz flyover, take U turn and left turn towards Fateh Darwaza and park their vehicles at HUDA Park near Fateh Darwaza, while general public coming from Shaikpet and Tolichowki can park their vehicles inside the Seven Tombs.

Car passes have to be displayed prominentl­y on the left side of the windscreen. From Secunderab­ad Parade Grounds, traffic will be diverted at Tivoli Junction towards Brooke Bond and NCC Junction and traffic coming from Tivoli towards Plaza will be restricted from 8 am to 10 am.
