Revanth: Grow with Congress

- DC CORRESPONDENT

TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy said that crisis in a political party gives a chance to those who work hard to become leaders. The Congress is in crisis and anyone, particularly youth, can become a leader by working hard for the next Assembly elections, he said.

He was speaking at the Youth Congress state executive committee meeting held at Shamshabad on Saturday, presided over by state unit president Shivasena Reddy.

Speaking at the meeting, Revanth Reddy said that Youth Congress leaders should fight against the “antipeople policies” of the TRS government. There are no “owners” in the Congress, Revanth Reddy said, all hard-working leaders become owners. “The Youth Congress is a venue for youth to become leaders. Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, N. Chandrababu Naidu and K. Chandrashekar Rao began their political careers as Youth Congress leaders,” he said.

The TPCC chief said tickets for the 2023 Assembly elections will be allotted based on the performance of leaders in fighting for the people, he said.

Giving an example, Revanth Reddy said that Shivasena Reddy had caught the attention of party leader Rahul Gandhi because he aggressively fought on farmers' issues in New Delhi. “For the next 20 months, leaders should work hard, B forms will be handed over at their doorsteps,” Revanth Reddy said. The TPCC chief said that tickets will not be given based on party positions. Explaining the change of loyalty from the Telugu Desam to the Congress, Revanth Reddy said he had never aspired for power.
