REVANTH’S ALLEGATIONS FALSE: MALLA

- DC CORRESPONDENT

Labour minister Malla Reddy on Wednesday challenged TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy to resign his MP seat along with him and face the electorate. The minister offered to quit politics permanently if the Congress leader gets reelected from Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency in the byelection.

Malla Reddy was addressing a press conference along with legislator K.P. Vivekanand and MLCs Shambipur Raju and M. Srinivas Reddy to counter Revanth’s deeksha at Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s adopted village Muduchintalapally in Medchal-Malkajgiri district.

“He boasts of Congress defeating TRS in 2023 Assembly elections. Where is the need to wait till then? I am ready to quit now and face byelection if Revanth agrees to quit his Lok Sabha seat. I demand him to respond to my offer and resign immediately if he has the guts,” Malla Reddy said. He lashed out at Revanth’s abusive language against Rao and his family in Muduchintalapally village.

“After adopting this village, the Chief Minister has developed it by spending `62 crore. People are not facing any problems. It is for this reason that locals opposed Revanth’s entry into their village by holding ‘Revanth go back’ placards,” Malla Reddy said.

He also condemned Revanth’s allegations that he was into land encroachments in Medchal-Malkajgiri.

“He raised several questions in Lok Sabha that my engineering and medical colleges have a shortage of faculty and facilities and that the land and buildings did not have permissions. The union ministers assured the House that there were no such irregularities in my colleges. Instead of feeling ashamed, he continues to level false allegations against me and my educational institutions,” Malla Reddy said.
