Jayanth hits a jumbo century, takes day’s honours in league
Sumanth, Sankeerth, Santosh, Ganesh, Ramu, Pratheek, Majid, Romith, Satyanarayana, Pranav also come up with splendid performances
M. A. Jayanth with his splendid batting garnered Thursday’s limelight in the Hyderabad Cricket Association league matches.
Team Speed’s Jayanth walloped an incredible 199 off 211 balls but unfortunately couldn’t taste the double ton as he lifted his side to a humungous 396 for 7 against Shalimar CC in a two-day match.
In other two-day matches, Adilabad District’s Ramu (101), Sai Pratheek (6/20) of Acrylic CC, Nizamabad District’s S. K. Majid (6/32), Mega City’s K. Romith Reddy (6/38), K. Satyanarayana (5/20) of Hyderabad Cricket Academy and Ours CC’s B. Pranav Reddy (5/28) dazzled with their exceptional performances.
Meanwhile, in three-day matches, Central Excise’s K. Sumanth (103 n.o) & R. Dayanand’s G. Sankeerth (101 n.o) cracked centuries while Santosh Goud (5/38) of R. Dayanand & Combined Districts’ G. Ganesh (5/60) towered with their top bowling.
MP Colts had two nearly-men — Rahul Radish (94 n.o) and Mickil Jaiswal (91) — who helped their side to 219 for 2 in reply to Hyderabad Bottling’s 340, in which Mickil took 3 for 56.
