KTR gears up to organise ‘flag festival’

TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao held a teleconference and asked party leaders and workers to organise the ‘flag festival’ on a grand note across the state on September 2. He urged party workers to hoist the party flag in every ward in villages and towns and launch party reorganisation programmes.

Rama Rao asked them to constitute the party's ward committees and gram panchayat committees from September 2 to 12. Mandal and town committees should be constituted from September 12 to 20. District committees will be formed after September 20.

Rama Rao said the state leadership will announce the district-level committees and selection of district party presidents in consultation with the local leadership. After this, TRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao will announce the state executive committee.

He said party MLAs and MPs will be consulted while constituting district party committees and electing district party presidents.

Rama Rao asked partymen to consider only active members for a place on any committee. Besides, committees should comprise 51 per cent of members from SC, ST, BC and minority communities, and adequate representation to women should be given.

Rao also asked partymen to constitute social media committees from the village level. These committees should be constituted after the formation of mandal-level social media committees. He said a separate meeting will be held in September first week for Hyderabad.
