Sudden downpours on Thursday evening in the city left several places inundated with flash floods resulting in water rushing through some streets with parts of Jubilee Hills, and Moosapet receiving more than 9 cm of rain within a few hours. Most parts of the GHMC area received upwards of 5 cm of rainfall driven by thunder showers that were accompanied by lightning. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department said the next two days will see isolated parts of most districts in the state receive thunder showers, and sometimes heavy rain.
