TAROT IS A GREAT SOURCE OF WISDOM

-

IWILLPOWER IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS. SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE STRIVE NO MATTER WHAT THEY FEEL BY APPLYING THEIR WILL TO OVERCOME APATHY, DOUBT OR FEAR.

— DAN MILLMAN

sit at my desk musing about what to write this week, I sit for 10 minutes, nothing…twenty minutes…still nothing! I fidget with my phone for a while, check the calendar if there is an upcoming festival that I could write about…no…not really! And then, I do what any Tarot Reader would do…ask the Tarot cards for inspiration… “What?” “Really…Maanya!!!”,…but, “Tarot is a great source of wisdom,” “Ain’t it true?” And so…I take out the card from my deck and lo and behold…I pick the card of The Chariot! It is somewhat of a mystery why the Chariot, clearly a card of power and control is represented by the element of Water and the Zodiac Sign of Cancer! The appearance of the Chariot shows a need to take control of your emotions and, instead of wasting energy complaining, use that energy to take action and meet your goals. This card is all about overcoming obstacles and achieving your goals through determination, focus, and most importantly willpower. “Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.”— Mahatama Gandhi.

Willpower is the ability or restrain yourself, the ability to resist instant gratification in order to achieve long-term goals. As with any physical effort, flexing your willpower may feel uncomfortable at first, but over time becomes easier to practice. Here’s how you may be able to train your willpower:

Get adequate sleep. If you’re sleeping less than 6 hours a night, your brain won’t be able to function thoughtfully and you might weaken your willpower.

Meditate. Meditation helps improve your attention, focus, and stress management, thereby strengthening your willpower.

Exercise. Regular exercise helps burn off stress, which gives your willpower a boost.

Eat a plant-based diet. Research shows that something as simple as eating a more plant-based, less-processed diet makes energy more available to the brain and can improve willpower.

My dear readers, I hope that you learn the lesson from the Chariot. Great success and glory shall come to you if you master your passions and believe in the power of your will. Do not let anything sway you away from your goals, and proceed with the straight flight of an arrow. Nothing is beyond your ability if you believe in your own willpower!!!
