The couple shared a first public photo of their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, on May 8, almost four months after they welcomed her via surrogate
The Quantico actress has shared a photo of her and the pop star’s first child on her Instagram, along with an emotional Mother’s Day tribute reflecting on the baby’s first months of life. The couple welcomed their baby girl, Malti Marie, home after the little one spent 100 days in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit).
In the picture, Priyanka holds her infant daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, while the baby is dressed in an adorable dustypink dress and a matching bow headband, with a white heart obscuring her face.
They shared an extensive post, announcing that they brought their “little girl” home.
“On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced. Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is. We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and just want to thank every Doctor, nurse and specialist at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way. Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is truly a badass. Let’s get it MM! Mommy and Daddy love you,” the actress wrote in the caption.
