TRAFFIC CURBS FOR PM MODI’S VISIT TO ISB TOMORROW

Ahead of PM Modi’s visit to the Indian School of Business (ISB) on May 26, the Cyberabad Traffic Police directed offices in the vicinity to stagger their timings or opt for work-from-home on the day. The police issued traffic diversions, which will be in force from 1 pm to 5 pm.

The police also banned the use of drones, paraglider­s and remote-controlled microlight aircraft within a five-kilometre radius of the ISB, over intelligen­ce inputs about a possible attack.

“Offices located between Gachibowli Stadium and IIIT junction, IIIT junction and Wipro junction, IIIT junction and Gachibowli may stagger their work timings accordingl­y or may conduct their work from home to avoid inconvenie­nce. Commuters are advised to use suitable alternativ­e roads to avoid traffic congestion,” the police said.

The police directed commuters travelling from Gachibowli junction towards Lingampall­y to take a right turn towards the botanical garden and reach their destinatio­n through the HCU depot.

Similarly, commuters moving from Lingampall­y towards Gachibowli were directed to take a left at masjid Banda Kaman and move towards the botanical garden to reach their destinatio­n. Traffic from Wipro towards Lingampall­y will be routed through the Wipro junction, through the Gowlidoddi-Gopanpally crossroads and then towards the HCU back gate.

Those moving from Wipro towards the Gachibowli junction will be diverted through the Fairfield hotelNanak­ramguda Rotary left turn towards the ORR and then towards their destinatio­n. Traffic from Cable Bridge towards Gachibowli junction will be diverted through the Cable Bridge ramp to Road No. 45 and then towards Cyber Towers and Hitex.

However, the movement of heavy vehicles is banned on the alternativ­e routes.
