Malla says will file case on Revanth
The prolonged political battle between Malkajgiri MP and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president A. Revanth Reddy and Medchal MLA from the TRS and labour minister Ch Malla Reddy appears to have entered into a fresh chapter with the minister slamming the Congress leader in no uncertain terms.
Malla Reddy, for long a target of Revanth Reddy who alleges that the minister has broken laws to further educational institutions he has founded and runs, described the Congress leader as a ‘blackmailer’ who had been harassing him since their days together in the Telugu Desam Party long ago. The minister also said he would initiate legal proceedings against Revanth Reddy for levelling baseless allegations of land encroachment against him.
The minister was responding to Revanth Reddy’s allegations of land encroachment and declared that if the Congress leader wanted to prove his charges, then he should take an oath backing his allegations before Sri Lakshmi
Narasimha
Yadadri.
He said despite receiving financial help from him for Revanth Reddy’s daughter’s wedding, the Congress leader was trying to blackmail him. “He has been for long trying to sabotage my prospects in the Malkajgiri parliamentary constituency,” Malla Reddy said. The minister’s Assembly constituency forms part of the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency.
Taking serious objection to Revanth Reddy’s comments at the Congress party’s Rythu Rachabanda programme a couple of days ago, Malla Reddy said on Wednesday that he did purchase land, offering three to four times the market price, and every such deal was above board.
