Harish slams Modi, calls KCR protector

- BALU PULIPAKA | DC

The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti has slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he spewed venom on Telangana during his speech to BJP activists at the Begumpet airport here on Thursday.

The charge against Modi was led by finance and health minister T. Harish Rao. He said Modi’s mind was full of poison and he spilled it on the state. “The PM did not have a single word to utter for the benefit of the state. Instead, Modi displayed his fear of Telangana surpassing Gujarat in every sphere of development,” the minister claimed.

Addressing the media at Siddipet, the minister said, “Modi’s words might be welcomed by the local BJP leaders, but these have left everyone else in the state disappointed.”

“Modi must look within before speaking about the so-called family rule and politics in Telangana. Where was this ill feeling when he came and met our Chief Minister seeking support to BJP’s nominees for President and Vice-President posts? Wasn’t the TRS a family party then? And what about BJP having shared power and hobnobbing with parties like Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, PDP in Kashmir, INLD of Chautala in Haryana? Are they not family parties? What about Piyush Goyal whose father was a BJP leader? What about Amit Shah’s son who is the BCCI secretary? Is he a cricketer? Former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje’s son Dushyant is an MP. Is that not family politics,” Harish Rao asked Modi.

“KCR is a protector of Dharma. He does not do this for votes. Hindutva is our way of live, not a vote- seeking tactic, he added.
