Allu Arjun moves out of ‘Mega’ shadow
After the stupendous success of his last film Pushpa,
THE MESSAGE SEEMS TO BE THAT ALLU ARJUN HAS MOVED OUT FROM THE SHADOW OF THE ‘MEGA CLAN’ PRESIDED OVER BY MEGASTAR CHIRANJEEVI. HE IS ESTABLISHING HIMSELF AS AN ACTOR IN HIS OWN RIGHT — IN FACT, HE HAS ALREADY DONE THAT. THE SUPER SUCCESS OF ALA VAIKUNTAPURAM LO AND PUSHPA HAVE BROUGHT HIM NATIONAL FAME, AND HE HAS NOW GOT HIS OWN FOLLOWING AND FAN-BASE
Last month, Allu Arjun (aka Bunny) celebrated his 40th birthday in Serbia (Czech Republic). The photos of the event show him having a blast with his friends — but his cousins and nephews, including Ram Charan, Varun Tej and Sai Dharam Tej, were conspicuous by their absence. The cousin sisters were present though.
Of late we hear Charan praising Jr NTR and his acting skills but not a word about Allu Arjun, despite the pan India success of Pushpa.
The message seems to be that Allu Arjun has moved out from the shadow of the ‘mega clan’ presided over by Megastar Chiranjeevi. He is establishing himself as an actor in his own right — in fact, he has already done that. The super success of Ala Vaikuntapuram Lo and Pushpa have brought him national fame, and he has now got his own following and fan-base.
There definitely seems to be some discord between both families. And comparisons between Pushpa and the flop Acharya at the BO clearly state who is better posied at the moment.
But Allu and Mega families have repeatedly rubbished these stories.
But the fans seems to have taken a clear stand — pro and anti. Recently, there was a ‘mega fans’ get-together held in Andhra Pradesh. In the show, one of the ardent mega fans was seen saying, “There is this Cheppanu brother guy (hinting at Allu Arjun) who is an opportunist. He used mega family support to rise to stardom. Once he gained the name and fame he sidelined the family. We mega fans should not support him; his next film should be his last one.”
Allu Arjun fans are not taking this barb lying low. They are vocal about their heroe’s super succes is what’s sticking like a thorn in the mega family stars’ flesh. Things have reached to a stage where fans of both Ram Charan and Allu Arjun don’t hesitate to troll each other’s heroes on social media.
The cracks seemed to have widened between Allu and Mega families over establishing supremacy.
perhaps the actor wants to create his own niche. At least that’s what his fans seem to convey
Since everyone is away on vacay mode these days, those who’ve not managed to venture out of blistering Hyderabad seem to be turning green with envy thanks to all the non-stop insta flexing these peeps have been up to. None however compare to the very glamorous and power-packed meetings KTR has been hosting. The man recently unveiled a new electric vehicle project in London, along with T Rajiv Reddy, before heading off to Davos where he met heavyweights like Gautam Adani, investment guru Nikhil Kamath, Adar Poonawalla, reps from Aramco and even managed to bump into AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Singer Kanika Kapoor recently got married in a very elaborate wedding ceremony held in London. Guests were invited for a fab night of partying at the V&A Museum, where apna Vasuki Sunkavalli Punj and Sravanya Rao Pittie were spotted shimmying the night away to Punjabi tunes, along with several other friends and family of the popular lady.
Dushyant Reddy’s wedding celebrations have been keeping many of our P3Ps busy. The sangeet function was a fun do hosted at Anil Kishen’s sprawling farm house. The groom’s friends Armaan Kandhari, Asher Noria and Koshal Yerramsetty danced with the groom. Everyone stuck to the dress code and made the black-tie evening truly glam.
The host Kishore Reddy looked
after each of his guests so well.
Actor Pawan Kalyan made a rare public appearance recently, at the graduation ceremony of his son Akira Nandan along with his exwife Renu Desai and daughter Aadya. The young man stands tall and one can already see the beginnings of a bright future in the film industry, if he were to choose it.
Nikhat Zareen, the World Boxing champion from Telangana, 2022, got plenty of congratulatory messages but no awards — in cash or land — like other sports achievers received in the past. Apart from Sindhu, Saina, Sania, who were rewarded handsomely, Malavath Purna and Anand Kumar Sadhanapalli who summited Mt Everest also got a cash award of `25 lakh each.
Everyone is wondering why Nikhat is being ignored. Even Chamundeshwarnath, who gives generous rewards to sports achievers, is MIA this time!
At a recent wedding party, Lyn D’Silva was seen chatting animatedly with MP Asaduddin Owaisi explaining to him about fishing. And the MP looked most disinterested!
By the way, those who want to eat fish don’t buy, just ask Lyn to send you the catch of the day. He’s been spending a lot of time fishing.
