When will you fill 16 lakh vacancies, KTR asks Modi
TRS working president and IT minister K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday fired a fresh salvo at Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighting the Centre’s failure in filling the 16 lakh job vacancies in the last eight years in various departments and organisations under its purview.
In an open letter addressed to the Prime Minister, Rama Rao lashed out at what he called ‘incompetent and flawed economic policies’ of the NDA government, which he claimed resulted in loss of existing jobs instead of creating new jobs. Rao stated that the TRS will stand by the youth of the nation and fight for their jobs.
Rama Rao posed eight questions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose government has recently completed eight years in power.
Rao also expressed concern at India being ranked at the bottom in the world at 180 in the recent Environmental Performance Index 2022.
He tweeted, “This report calls for serious introspection & an action plan in the lines of #HaritaHaaram in #Telangana on the part of all state Governments & Centre as well. We cannot afford to let down our future generations (sic)”
In his letter to PM, Rao stated that lakhs of crores of rupees were brought to Telangana in the form of investments in the last eighty years through innovative and friendly industrial policies which created 16 lakh jobs in the private sector.
He said the Telangana government has filled over 1.32 lakh jobs in the government sector and added that it will soon fill up another one lakh government jobs in the state. “We run a government which believes in action and not in mere slogans and lip service,” Rao said.
The minister stated that the Centre has no commitment for the welfare of agriculture and the textile sectors as these are the two major sectors people depend on for jobs.
