BJP to send 50L invites for massive public meet in state
In a never before attempted exercise, the BJP in Telangana has decided to send invitations to 50 lakh households across the state for the July 3 public meeting to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the city.
This unprecedented effort comes in the wake of the plans for the meeting, which will be attended by who's who in the Central government and the party, where Modi, and other senior party leaders are expected to provide a final direction to the BJP cadres, and issue a serious call to the people to oust the TRS from power in the state.
Among those who will address the public meeting will be Union home minister Amit Shah, BJP president J.P. Nadda, and Chief Ministers of BJPruled states. It will see the presence fo all or most of the BJP ministers in the Union Cabinet, MPs, senior party leaders and special invitees.
The public meeting will wind up the two-day BJP national executive meet in the city that will start on July 2. State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who
chaired a meeting of representatives from the 119 Assembly constituencies in the state, said the goal was to have at least 10,000 people from each of the constituencies attend the July 3 meeting. "We should have at least 10 lakh people attend the meeting," he said. The invitations to be sent to the 50 lakh homes are expected to contain some information on what the Modi government has done for the country in the eight years of being in power.
"We will make the meeting line one never seen before, or can be attempted by anyone again," Sanjay said on Sunday at the party headquarters in the city. The meeting also appointed in-charges for the invitations, preparations for each Assembly constituency who will also be responsible for collecting donations for the event. The idea is to vest every party worker with a sense of participation in the event, Sanjay said.
The meeting was attended by Rajya Sabha member Dr K. Laxman, and incharge and party national secretary Arvind Menon, BJP Madhya Pradesh incharge Muralidhar Rao, state secretaries Mantri Srinivas, G. Premender Reddy, D. Pradeep Kumar, and Bangaru Sruthi, among others.
