A FATHER FIGURE INDEED

Woman claims the British singer George Michael paid for her child’s IVF birth

-

About nine months after the passing of the legendary singer, Lynette Gillard gave birth to a healthy boy via an IVF procedure.

According to a report in the digital magazine of The Sun, Lynette had suffered through nine rounds of intense IVF over 13 years. When her savings ran out, she’d turned to the reality show Deal or No Deal in late 2016, desperately seeking a sum of money to help her with another round of fertility treatment. Apparently, Lynette couldn’t conceive naturally because of a rare condition called uterus didelphys. She was also diagnosed with a high level of natural killer cells that were attacking her embryos rather than fighting diseases.

The Deal or No Deal episode was aired six months later, which is when Lynette realised someone had anonymously donated £9,000 to her cause. She got pregnant in early 2017 and delivered her son Seth on 3rd September 2017. Only later did she know that it was the Father Figure singer who was the donor, much after he was found dead in his home on 25th December 2016.

Every year since Seth’s birth, Lynette and Seth make it to the singer’s Goring, Oxfordshire, home to pay their respects. Another woman named Jo Maidment had disclosed that two days after she’d appeared on a morning show in 2010, in which she’d shared her frustrations at not being able to afford fertility treatments, an anonymous ‘businessman’ paid for her IVF test too.

When Jo had a miscarriage, George ensured she received a bouquet of flowers in condolence. The Careless Whisper singer is said to have also left a donation of £25,000 for a woman in a café after he’d overheard her crying over her debt.

A MUM WHO RECEIVED A £9,000 DONATION FROM GEORGE MICHAEL FOR IVF WISHES SHE COULD THANK HIM FOR HER “MIRACLE” SON, WHO IS NOW FIVE YEARS OLD. SHE HAD NO IDEA WHO THE GIFT WAS FROM UNTIL AFTER THE SINGER’S DEATH.
