Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Thursday reviewed arrangements being made for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s three-day visit to Hyderabad to attend the BJP national executive committee meeting.
Kumar held a meeting with police and other senior officials at BRKR Bhavan. He asked police officials to make adequate security arrangements for the VVIP’S visit. He also asked them to ensure a smooth flow of traffic to avoid inconvenience to people.
The Prime Minister will reach Hyderabad on June 2. He will attend the BJP’S National Executive Committee meeting at
HICC Novotel in Madhapur on July 2 and 3 and leave the city on June 4
While a team of the National Security Guard (NSG) conducted security checks at the HICC and took over the convention centre under their control, the Cyberabad Police deployed a three-level security arrangement for the Prime Minister’s visit.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Stephen Raveendra held a coordination meeting with all officials and reviewed security arrangements on Thursday.
The police have deployed snipers, antisabotage checks, rooftop vigil, and mufti parties and conducted trial runs ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit.
“Anti-sabotage precautions along with access control constitute the cornerstone of any security arrangement for the protection of VVIP. Law and order, traffic officials were instructed to make all security plans in strict adherence to the SPG’S Blue Book. Video conferences will be held with officials every day,” said an official.
Ahead of the Prime Minister's visit to the city, the Indian Meteorological Department has advised that pilots flying helicopters over the city on July 2 depending on Visual Flight Range (VFR) protocol, rather than Instrument Flying Range (IFR).
The advice was given in the wake of the monsoon weather in Hyderabad turning unpredictable during Modi’s stay in Hyderabad.
