Clean Ganga, when?

Court has chided the Central government over the delay in cleaning the Ganga. In a stern order, the court asked the Central government whether it wanted to do something in its current term or would postpone pollution control measures to the next term. "Now, the point is, it is going on for the last 30 years. You (Centre) tell us as to what is the verifiable progress in this regard," a Bench headed by Justice T S Thakur asked the Central government when its counsel informed the court that "things are happening". The government has been asked to submit state-wise projects for cleaning the Ganga with "verifiable progress" reports.
