Down to Earth - - EDITOR’S PAGE -

It is decision time in America. The two rival candidates hold firm views vis-a-vis climate change. While Hillary Clinton is a believer, Donald Trump is ka deniery. Who will be better for the global fight against climate change? Fifteen years ago, after the poll between Al Gore and George W Bush ended in a Bush victory, Down To Earth noted in kBetter the devil you knowy (1-15 January, 2001): kThere are ostriches with their head in the sand, like Bush, who openly oppose common sense. And then there are those (like Gore) who give the impression of being on the right side of the moral and ecological balance, and yet end up serving business interests.y Regardless of who wins, the fight against climate change has to go on.
