Oil ogre
The world's largest butterfly, Queen Alexandra's Birdwing, could become extinct due to the rampant clearing of New Guinea's forests for producing more palm oil. ("Dicey parameters", 16-31 May, 2007). In 2017, palm oil threatens to unleash a new catastrophe.
