INGREDIENT­S

Gahath: 250 grams Onion (chopped): 1 Garlic (chopped): 3-4 cloves Ghee/mustard oil: adequate to fry Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon Chili powder: 1 teaspoon Salt : to taste

METHOD

Soak gahath in water overnight so that it becomes tender. Drain the water and crush it to make a smooth paste. Heat ghee or mustard oil in a cauldron, and add onions and garlic to it. Fry till they turn brown. Add the gahath paste to it, along with coriander, red chilli powder and salt. Mix them well. Add a glass of water and cook for 30 minutes. Serve hot with rice or chapatti.
