Policeman falls to death while playing with children on terrace in Tiruvottiyur

A policeman, who was playing with his kids on the terrace of his house, accidentally fell off from the height and died in Tiruvottiyur on Thursday night. Police identified the deceased as Desingh, 43. He was attached to Madhavaram traffic investigation unit and was residing on Kuppam Pattinamthan Koil Street in Thiruvotiyur. Desingh was staying with his wife and two children. On Thursday late evening, he went to the terrace to play with the kids when he fell off accidentally. His family members and neighbours immediately rushed him to Stanley Medical College where he was given treatment. He, however, succumbed to severe injuries he suffered in the fall later. “It is not clear how he lost control and fell. A post-mortem will be conducted to ascertain whether anything particularly caused his fall to death,” police noted. Tiruvottiyur police have registered a case and are investigating.
