Ex-SI, 2 others involved in flesh trade detained under Goodas Act

Three persons, who were accused of forcing a migrant woman into prostitution, have been detained under the Goondas Act on Friday. Senthilkumar (49) of Melavastha Chavadi in Thanjavur, his wife Rajam (47), exSub Inspector Prabakaran (65), Ramachandran (40) and Palanisamy (51) of Pudukkottai district were arrested recently for forcing a migrant woman into prostitution and later attempt to kill her by pushing from the fast moving car. Meanwhile, on Friday, SP Maheswaran recommended to the District Collector Govinda Rao to detain three of five accused under Goondas act. As per the recommendations, the Collector ordered to detain Senthil Kumar, ex-Sub Inspector Prabakaran and Ramachandran under Goondas Act and they were lodged in Tiruchy Prison.
