Manmohan’s condition stable, best possible hospital care provided to him, says Vardhan
NEW DELHI: Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan on Tuesday followed up on former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s health with the medical team attending to him at AIIMS Delhi and said that his condition is stable.
“Followed up on Dr Manmohan Singh Ji’s health with the medical team attending to him at AIIMS, Delhi. His condition is stable. Best possible care is being provided to him. We all pray for his quick recovery,” tweeted Harsh Vardhan.
Meanwhile, many others including Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Anand Sharma have tested positive as COVID cases continue to surge in the country.
The 68-year-old Sharma (68), who was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Delhi late last night, tested positive for the infection Tuesday and has now been moved to the Medanta Hospital, sources close to him said.
Union Minister Jitendra and CEC Chandra get infected
Union minister Jitendra Singh said he has tested positive for COVID-19 and asked all those who came in contact with him to get themselves screened. “I have today tested #COVID positive with symptoms. Please get yourself screened if you were in my contact recently and take care,” he tweeted.
Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra and EC Rajiv Kumar have tested positive. Both the top electoral body officials are now discharging their duty in virtual mode.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has gone into quarantine after his wife Sunita Kejriwal tested positive for COVID-19. Sunita Kejriwal has gone into home isolation.
