Writing letters to PM, AIADMK ‘style’ now
The AIADMK which recently lost power in the state is now running a marathon when it comes to filing complaints and forwarding letters to Centre.
Interestingly, both the AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam and his deputy Edappadi K Palaniswami are writing independent letters to Prime minister Modi seeking corona medicines, vaccines and assistance for TN. Joining the race, the party spokespersons have also started sending petitions and statements to the Prime minister and union ministers complaining about the shortfalls in the corona treatment administered by the newly formed DMK government.
AIADMK spokesperson and party legal wing functionary R M Babu Murugavel in a letter to the Prime Minister office and union ministry of home affairs alleged that the state government was concealing the covid 19 deaths and is preventing the victims from availing the corona relief as per disaster management act.
The letter also marked to the office of state Chief Minister and Chief Secretary said that the public health officials in Tamil Nadu are concealing COVID-19 infection while registering them in the state medical records. It also claimed that medical officers are not issuing death certificates to those people who have succumbed to the virus and the public health department officials are concealing the cause of death.
“AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam and his deputy Edappadi K Palaniswami seem to be not on the same page while dealing with the political issues. Earlier official letters and the party briefings issued on behalf of the AIADMK party came as joint statements but now the AIADMK coordinator O Paneerselvam has started issuing independent statements signed as former CM of Tamil Nadu and AIADMK co ordinator. Similarly, EPS also issues statements and DO letters mentioned as former CM and leader of the opposition in TN, ” informed party sources said.
