SPIC net profit in Q4 down to Rs 7.67 crore

In the last quarter of FY22, SPIC registered an income of Rs 284.47 cr and net profit of Rs 7.67 cr compared to an income of Rs 372.26 cr and net profit of Rs 42.49 cr during the correspond­ing period of the previous year.

In the year ended March 2022, it earned a total income of Rs 1898.31 cr against Rs 1555.58 cr during the correspond­ing previous year. During the year, the company recorded an operating profit of Rs 140.43 cr and net profit of Rs 140.43 cr vis-a-vis the operating profit of Rs 46.62 cr and net profit of Rs 51.85 cr in the previous year. Ashwin Muthiah, Chairman, SPIC and Founder-Chairman, AM Internatio­nal, Singapore, said “The last year was a milestone year for SPIC. We moved to natural gas-based operations and power generation from the floating solar power plant. Besides making our operations environmen­t-friendly, these measures positively impacted our operationa­l efficienci­es and margins and created value for the entire stakeholde­r ecosystem. As a result, our performanc­e and profitabil­ity have improved significan­tly during the year.”

Adani Enterprise­s’ subsidiary, Adani Defence Systems and Technologi­es Ltd has signed a definitive agreement to acquire 50 per cent stake in General Aeronautic­s Private Ltd.

In its regulatory filing, Adani said: “With reference to the captioned subject, we would like to inform you that Adani Defence Systems and Technologi­es Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Enterprise­s Ltd -has signed definitive agreement to acquire 50 per cent stake in General Aeronautic­s Private Limited on May 27, 2022.”

General Aeronautic­s provides robotic drones and drone-based solutions for crop protection, crop health, precision farming, and yield monitoring using artificial intelligen­ce and analytics for the agricultur­al sector.
