3G and 4G handsets to capture over half of handset sales in 2012

ABI Research’s study Mobiledeviceshipmentmarketdata predicts that 3G and 4G handsets will capture more than 50 per cent of handset sales in 2012. Jake Saunders, vice president of forecasting, said, “The outlook will yield growth in the order of 8 per cent netting 1.67 billion handsets shipped worldwide by the end of 2012.”
