What is it?

Suzuki’s popular 125cc scooter gets major updates to keep up with the current crop of 125cc scooters.

and mobile charger in the front apron as well.

Fun to ride?

The handlebar is now set higher which makes it accessible to taller riders. The pillion seat is slightly longer. The suspension has been reworked, and the telescopic forks and 12-inch front wheel give it excellent damping properties. The drum brakes perform well.

Powerful?

The 124cc mill gets Suzuki’s SEP technology which reduces frictional losses and makes for one of the most refined scooters out there. Acceleration is brisk due to the 102kg kerb weight making it the lightest in its class.

Efficient?

Another benefit of the SEP technology is improved effeciency. Suzuki is claiming 63kmpl though we reckon it will return close to 55kmpl in real-world conditions.

Value?

The drum brake variant retails for 53,887 (ex-Delhi) which undercuts the Honda Activa by close to two thousand rupees. That is good value for a scooter with a fresh design, good quality components and an extremely refined engine with good performance to boot.

A mid-life refresh keeps the Access 125 in the game
