FUTURE HYPERCAR FACE-OFF

The closest rival to the project one is the Red BullAston Martin lovechild, the Valkyrie. Both, MercedesAMG Project One and Valkyrie are based on the same philosophy: Formula 1 car for the road. However, being developed under the supervision of Red Bull genius Adrian Newey, the Aston is expected to turn the rules of aerodynamics upside down thus making it look like nothing we have ever seen on roads. It will also be extremely light and Aston expects it to be in the range of 900-1000kg. Powering the Valkyrie is a traditional 6.5-litre V12 by Cosworth, paired with a crank-mounted electric motor. The V12 makes 800bhp while the electric motor generates 200bhp. The cockpit too is F1-like, with midmounted controls and the driving position puts your legs above the hip point. Who said Formula 1 is pointless?
