Price (ex-showroom, Delhi) 279.5cc, single-cylinder 6-speed, 1 down-5 up 24.8bhp @ 8500rpm 23Nm @ 7000rpm

179kg `1.80 lakh (Mojave) `1.89 lakh (Classic) engine that makes 24.8bhp and 23Nm of torque. The six-speed gearbox continues to bear the same tall ratios which make for great highway runs but is a major hindrance during slow speed situations as there is very little low-end torque. You will probably have to shift down to successfully overtake slow moving traffic.

Efficient?

That is sadly something we could not quantify on our short test run but we figure it will be in the ball park of 30kmpl. With the large fuel tank of 18 litres, it should do nearly 550-odd kilometres on a tankful.

Value?

The two bikes are now on sale at `1.8 lakh for the Mojave and `1.89 lakh for the Classic, both prices ex-showroom Delhi. At that price there is no other motorcycle that will provide you as much of an authentic experience as these two. Provided of course you’re willing to live with something that’ll not really give you the bragging rights that you should have ideally had with such a dyed-in-the wool American cruiser.
