Maxtrax

This is an innovative, lightweight recovery device that works in a similar manner to sand-ladders. They are placed under the wheels of the vehicle with little or no traction, and provide that traction where there is none. They can help recover a stuck vehicle from mud, sand, slush and even snow. Though they are made of plastic, they are extremely tough and can support weights of up to 3500kg. They can be stacked up to increase their threshold as well. Each individual Maxtrax weighs about 3.4kg, and is the best recovery solution if you are out in the open without a recovery vehicle or an actor point around. The Maxtrax works best with AT or MT tyres, as standard road tyres will not hook up with the teeth of the Maxtrax as efficiently.
